After graduating from Central Michigan University John joined the United States Air Force where he flew as a C-130 pilot.  After leaving active duty he joined the reserves, as a Civil Engineering Officer, retiring in 1996.  Concurrently, he pursued a career in safety working for Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Aeroquip and more.  He has worked at both the plant and corporate level, at one time being responsible for safety in 14 plants.  John retired from Chrysler effective January of 2008.  Since his retirement John has become actively involved in safety litigation and consultation. John is a licensed pilot holding a Multi-engine, Commercial, Instrument license and is a Certified Scuba Diver.
